The tracker above shows the calculated current position of China’s Tiangong space station, one complete orbit, source freshness, and observer-based pass predictions. It uses the same orbital-propagation approach as the ISS tracker while keeping Tiangong’s own orbital elements and NORAD identity separate.
How to track Tiangong from your location
Use the 2D map or 3D globe to follow the station around Earth. The telemetry panel displays calculated latitude, longitude, altitude and velocity, while the location panel lets you enter observer coordinates or use your device location. After setting a location, calculate the next seven days of passes to see when Tiangong rises high enough above your horizon.
A pass is not automatically a naked-eye sighting. The spacecraft needs to be illuminated by sunlight while the observer’s sky is sufficiently dark. Weather, haze, buildings and local light pollution can still prevent a sighting even when the orbital geometry is favorable.
Understanding the orbit display
The line on the map represents one calculated revolution based on current orbital elements. The station itself moves continuously, so the map position changes from second to second. The orbit is a prediction from the element set rather than a direct stream of onboard navigation telemetry.
For a useful comparison, switch between this page and the ISS live tracker. The two stations occupy different low-Earth-orbit trajectories, which is why their ground tracks and possible viewing locations differ.
Data source and accuracy
TagBuilder Space uses public GP/OMM orbital elements from CelesTrak and SGP4 propagation to calculate Tiangong’s position. The source panel reports the element epoch and the most recent successful sync. Fresh elements matter because orbital predictions become less reliable as an element set ages, especially after maneuvers.
