The Hubble Space Telescope tracker above follows Hubble in low Earth orbit using current public orbital elements. The map shows its calculated position and one complete revolution, while the observer panel can estimate local passes after you provide a location.
How to read the Hubble tracker
Use the map to follow Hubble’s current calculated latitude and longitude and to inspect its ground track. Altitude and speed are derived from the propagated orbit. If you enter your location, the tracker can also calculate azimuth and elevation and look for passes that satisfy the page’s optical-visibility tests.
An orbital pass does not guarantee that you will see Hubble. The telescope needs favorable illumination and sky darkness, and local weather or light pollution can still block the view.
Hubble and low Earth orbit
Unlike the James Webb Space Telescope, Hubble travels around Earth in low Earth orbit. That makes a ground-track map and local pass prediction useful for Hubble, while Webb is better represented with deep-space ephemeris vectors. Data source and orbit calculation
The page uses CelesTrak GP/OMM orbital elements with SGP4 propagation. The source panel displays the element epoch and latest successful refresh so you can judge the freshness of the underlying orbit. Calculated positions should not be described as direct Hubble telemetry.
